Black Shines Too…

As I sat alone earlier today with the curtains all pulled down and light barely entering the room I was, my mind played the events of the day to me and it paused at a point, allowing me ponder over the discussion.
After having a business meeting, this man I respect got talking to me about a couple of things and in encouraging me gave me a different angle to a scripture.

“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” Proverbs 4:18 (NIV)

This reminds me of a saying by Mummy Adigun, a woman I deeply respect, “It can only get better”, she’ll say.

No matter what happens to the righteous man, his path can only shine brighter.

Whether everywhere looks bleak, it is not going downhill as long as he is a righteous man, it can only get brighter.

No wonder scripture says ” He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.” (Romans 8:27-28.)

“All things are working together for my good. ITS INTENTIONAL”, the popular song says.

So now, armed with the knowledge that it can only get better, I go forth fearless.

Knowing that my path can only shine brighter, I know that clarity will come.

Knowing that my path can only shine brighter, I take God at His word and launch out.

Nothing will keep me down again.

My eyes on His word only.

Are you righteous?

If you are, you qualify for this too. The question is will you enjoy it?

If you are not, please be.

Ask that God forgive you your sins and clothed you with His righteousness, then begin to experience clarity. No more trial and errors.

It can only get better.

Now we see that, even though things may look black, that black will shine!
